Sweep and Service

A lined chimney should be swept at least once a year, dependant on the quality of fuel you are using. It's a good idea to have the stove serviced once a year too, just to keep an eye on it and make sure nothing is likely to go wrong with it when you need it most! We offer a 'Sweep & Service' package to all customers who have had their stove installed and chimney lined/constructed by us.

Matt normally does the S&Ss; he will sweep the liner first, making sure there are no deposits building up internally; he will check over the stove making sure all seals are still intact – tightening and re-sealing where/if necessary; he will also check the firebricks and baffle. He will also, if you wish, give the stove a quick re-spray so that it really does look like new again. We normally advise our customers to have this done during the summer months, when they're not using the stove......and when we aren't quite so busy!

We charge £50.00 + VAT for this service (not including any replacement parts ie. firebricks, glass panel).
